make better decisions
Steve Jobs wore the same outfit every day. Why? It was one less decision he had to make daily. After a long session of decision-making, the quality of our decisions deteriorates and we can start to choose irrational trade-offs. Here is how you can make better decisions.
1. Feel into your options.
Ask yourself: how does each option feel in your body? Which feels more exciting?
2. Make decisions early.
Avoid decision fatigue. Make your most critical decisions early so you don't run out of steam.
3. Get rid of distractions.
Remove distractions. Social media, browsing, a million tabs open. These can all contribute to decision fatigue.
4. Prioritise brain fuel.
Plan your meals ahead to help preserve brainpower for your most important tasks.
5. Take regular breaks.
Take a break. Sometimes we simply make better decisions when we're rested.
